Mold Informals welcome all riders who want to experience some challenging rides in the beautiful Welsh Hills.
Most of our rides, apart from the occasional jaunt into Cheshire and the Wirral, involve plenty of hill climbing, and we often use tracks and bridleways to reach remote places. Potential riders should be reasonably fit, with well-maintained bikes.
Our summer rides will be up to 60 miles round trip from our starting point in Mold. Winter rides will be approximately 25-30 miles.
Rides will take place on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. Venues will be decided on the day, dependant on the number of riders and the weather.
Rides start from the Co-operative Store car park in New Street, Mold. Start times are 9.30am during British Summer Time (BST), 10.00am in the winter months. We usually carry a picnic lunch, with morning and afternoon tea and cake stops at our favourite cafes.
We always wait for slower riders, and there is always plenty of assistance available from experienced riders in the event of any bicycle problems.
