Chester CTC

Chester CTC is renowned for its tireless dedication to enjoyable cycling.

Our bi-monthly rides on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month into Cheshire or North Wales are carefully punctuated by visits to coffee shops, lunches at country pubs, and even tea stops. Since we aim to cover around 40 to 45 miles during the day, only moderate fitness is required - as well as a bicycle! Some rides are a little further, but you can always come as far as morning coffee stop – please contact the ride leader for more information.

Click here to see the Chester CTC Blog which was started in 2014. It aims to capture some of the group's exploits.

Our summer programme is enhanced by weekly Wednesday evening rides, meeting in front of Chester Town Hall for a prompt 7pm departure. These are easy rides aimed at beginners and which maintain the social atmosphere that all our rides convey. We usually return to a reputable inn for a chat and refreshments. Lights may be needed early or late in the season.

We have Fab Ladies rides on the second Saturday of the month. We meet at 10am, at Kingsway café in Newton, and head for a café about 10 miles away, although there are usually a selection of rides of different paces available, from 'faster further', through 'regular' to 'slow and steady' for beginners. Once a year we have a dedicated ladies weekend away, which gives us a chance to explore other parts of the country. More information, with photos and ride reports, can be seen on our Blog.

If you would like more information about Chester rides, or would like to be added to the email list, please contact Sue Booth.

The Fab Ladies and Chester CTC both have Facebook Groups, and you can follow Sue on Twitter.
