Wrexham Reivers
(formerly Wrexham Section)

Wrexham Reivers, of the Chester and North Wales CTC, meet regularly at the Expresso Café in Gwersyllt. Rides are usually the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. There is a great choice of locations for rides from Wrexham which ensures that the programme has a good mixture of flat and hilly rides. Generally the rides are longer in the summer to make the most of better weather and longer days.

Rides start at the café with at least one other café stop during the day. Some members come for a chat and a cup of tea even if they are not intending to ride with the group that day. Meeting at the café ensures that new riders have a chance to be introduced to other members in the group before starting the rides.

We meet at 9.00am and generally aim to leave by 9.30 (although in bad weather it may take longer to leave the café). The distances covered vary; winter rides are often 40-50 miles, with longer rides in the summer as the weather gets warmer. The Café Hoppers (who are not an official CTC group) meet at the same café on all of the other Saturdays in the year and also every Tuesday.

Leaders and suggested destinations appear on the rides list; you may wish to contact the leader to discuss the intended route and distance. Occasionally, rides need to change at short notice, so if you have selected a ride because it is going to a particular destination, please check with the leader.
