Celia Watson

Our thoughts & sympathy go to Harry Watson & family on the death of Celia Watson, an long standing member of C&NW CTC.

Celia Watson’s funeral will be taking place at Blacon Crematorium at 3.20pm on Monday 27th February. See below for more information about the funeral & arrangements to riding to the funeral & to the wake:

Watson’s Wanderers are planning to ride from the Plough Inn, Christleton to the Crematorium in Blacon for Celia's funeral. They plan to leave the Plough at 2.20pm and take a leisurely ride along the Greenway, leaving onto the canal and hence to the crematorium arriving in good time for the service at 3.20pm. This route will minimise time on the public roads.
The plan is for cyclists to then follow the family car in convoy, from the crematorium to a wake at the Little Owl, off Countess Way, after the service.
We understand that Harry is very pleased about this arrangement, his legacy is a current membership of about 30 cyclists of the continuing Watsons Wanderers. With a senior offshoot the Reprobates.
Please pass on this invitation to any cyclists who may wish to celebrate Celia’s life with Harry, family and friends.

Take Care!

Take extra care on cycle paths in the Deeside area; a cyclist has been injured by a wire deliberately stretched across the cycle path. Police attended the incident.
